Louis Zuniga PT, DPT, CHT, MTC
Completed his education at UT Health Science Center – San Antonio in 1984 receiving the highest honors for clinical excellence. Louis completed his first certification in Manual Therapy in 1991 from what is now the University of St. Augustine and since then has lectured, taught, written and continued to expand his knowledge in this field. He has completed extensive training at the Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine program in manual therapy and manipulation. He received his certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) in 1999 and since then has practiced and taught internationally in the field of hand therapy. He is the founder and president of HealthMasters Hand and Physical Therapy Centers.
Alan Ramirez PT, MPT
Alan has been in the physical therapy field since 1996 and received his Masters in Physical Therapy from University of Texas at El Paso in 2006. He is the Director of “The Program” which was established in 2009 and is designed to benefit athletes of all ages and all sports types. His specialty is in sports performance training and prevention of injuries. Alan is certified in McKenzie Program A & B as well as certified in the Work Steps Program.
Roy E. Kohn IV, PT, DPT
Roy received his Master’s and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2010. He has been with HealthMasters since 2010. He is currently attending a fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy program through the Manual Therapy Institute. His interest in physical therapy is manual orthopedics and the patho-functional morphological model of therapy.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Joseph Cole, PT, DPT
Joe grew up in El Paso and graduated from Parkland High School in 2007. He received his Bachelor’s degree in exercise science while studying in the field of Kinesiology in 2011 and then received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2014. His interests are in sports rehabilitation and manual orthopedics in physical therapy field. He is a member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association & the American Physical therapy Association.
Cari McCollum, DPT
Cari McCollum graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a degree in Environmental Design – Architecture in 2009. Shen then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado-Denver in May 2014. Cari has been practicing in El Paso since September 2014 in the out-patient orthopedic setting.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Eric Gomez, PT, DPT
Eric was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology in 2011 from the University of Texas at El Paso. In 2015 he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and returned to El Paso to begin his professional career. His interests are manual orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. He is a member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Adam Vargas PT, DPT
Adam was born in Corpus Christi, TX but was raised all over the world as he’s the son of a retired Navy Chief. He proudly calls El Paso home. Adam received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2014 from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2014. He then received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2016. His interests are in manual orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. He is excited to serve the community of El Paso.
Justin Valdez, PT, DPT
Justin is a proud born and raised El Pasoan. He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from UT-San Antonio in 2012 and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2016. Prior to attending physical therapy school, Justin was part of the HealthMasters team as a physical therapy tech. After graduating from physical therapy school, Justin returned to the HealthMasters team to began his professional career as Physical Therapist. His interests in physical therapy are in sports rehabilitation and manual orthopedics.
Juan Saenz, PTA
Juan Saenz, PTA graduated from St. Phillips College in San Antonio Texas. He has been with HealthMasters since 2001 and has had experience with therapy in the hospital setting. His areas of strength include outpatient orthopedics, acute, sports rehab.
Jeremy Cole PT, DPT
Jeremy was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Parkland High School in 2010. Jennifer Alcala, PT, DPT
Jennifer grew up in El Paso and graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. In 2012 she received her doctorate in physical therapy from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Her interest are sports rehab, orthopedics, as well as inpatient therapy.
Virginia Lopez, PTA
Virginia graduated from El Paso Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy in 2010. She joined the HealthMasters family in 2012. HealthMasters has given her the opportunity to continue to learn and develop her skills as a healthcare professional. Her interests in physical therapy are geriatrics and orthopedics.
She has been a member of the APTA since 2009.
Gloria I. Cano, PTA
Gloria was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She served four years active duty in the United State Air Force and was honorably discharged to pursue a civilian career and take care of her parents. She graduated with three Associate of Applied Science degrees at El Paso Community College in Health, Physical Education and Dance; Psychology and Physical Therapy Assistant. Gloria also received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Science with a minor in Education at the University of Texas at El Paso. Of all her degrees, being a PTA is her calling and enjoys working for HealthMasters where she continues to grow in her profession.
